Ahmedabad based Unitedworld Institute of Design launches its own apparel brand – Colour Me Young

Ahmedabad: City based Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID), a constituent of Karnavati University has launched a clothing label – Colour Me Young (CMY) – at a fashion show organized at Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel in the city on Saturday.

The launch of UID’s own apparel brand – CMY – was done through the show which was mentored by veterans in the fashion industry of India. The members of the
prestigious Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) – Gujarat and their spouses, sashayed the ramp donning the CMY brand.

 

The show was choreographed by Shakir Shaikh. The show was curated by veterans in the country’s fashion industry such as Pooja Agrawal, Digvijay Singh, Krunal Parekh and Kasheesh K.

While Pooja Agrawal specializes in handcrafted prints on pure fabrics, Digvijay Singh’s own fashion label of the same name specializes in collections with strong cultural and classical era influences. Kasheesh K, on the other hand is an established fashion designer and couturier, known for her diverse style ranging from bridal wear to club-wear and even bespoke jewellery designs. Krunal Parekh is Business Head with Umang Hutheesing and have curated Textile museum of Royal Indian Costumes in Mexico, Bahrain, Japan and Paris, and is also a Fashion Consultant for the New York & London Fashion Weeks.

 

Professional fashion models including Purva Rana, Iris Maity, Pari Sahni, Priyasha C, Nivedita, Leena Vishwakarma, Sonakshi R, Mallika B, Khusbu Shetty, Pratyancha and Tashveen among others, walked the ramp with poise to showcase CMY’s vibrant line of garments at the show.
