January 24, 2018
Ahmedabad/Rajkot:
Karni Sena Chief Lokendrasinh Kalvi today said that Film Maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was responsible for all the violence against Padmaavat including the one that has taken place in Ahmedavad this evening.
Kalvi who was in Gujarat today and during his PC in Rajkot said that the union government should recall the censor certificate of the movie after the lifting of ban on it by the apex court later said that it was not correct to say that Karni Sena was behind the violent protests in Ahmedabad tonight.
He said that it was a matter to be investigated as to who was actually behind the violence in the name of Karni sena but one thing was clear that in the root of all this was Bhansali himself.
‘Earlier he had created such situation in Maharashtra by making film Bajirao Mastani and now with Padmaavat he was willing to burn the whole country,’ he said.
Kalvi was in Porbandar today to participate in the Patotsav of Sandipani Ashram there and later addressed a PC in Rajkot during which he said that despite the lifting of ban by the SC, people won’t allow the release of the movie.
He said that the movie could still be banned by the union government by cancelling the censor certificate under the provisions of Cinematograph Act.
The Gujarat unit head of Karni Sena Raj Shekhawat condemned the violence in the name of protest to the film. He said that it can’t be members of Karni Sena but some anti social elements with whom the administration should deal with strictly.
