After BRTS, AMTS buses also give relief to commuters, not to hike fairs

In yet another good news for the city bus commuters of Ahmedabad, after the recent decision to not to hike the fares of BRTS buses, now the AMTS has also made similar announcement.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Services (AMTS) today said that it has decided to not to increase the bus fares from the next financial year ie April 1, 2018.
‘The AMTS bus fairs from stage one and all the other stages would remain unchanged in the next fiscal also ie from April 1,’ a statement issued by the city bus service provider said today.
The minimum and maximum bus fairs for adult passengers in AMTS buses ranges from Rs 3 to Rs 25.
Notably, Ahmedabad Janmarg Ltd, a special purpose vehicle under the AMC which runs the BRTS buses in the city had also taken a decision to not to increase the fairs in its board meeting on March 21.
