Ahmedabad: Dr. Surendra Jain, Joint General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) today speaking to media persons here said VHP

He said, ‘all details pertaining to Ram Janmabhoomi case were presented before the recently concluded Akhil Bharatiya bethak of VHP. VHP doesn’t favour making of law Ram temple in Ayodhya because, suppose if the govt under our pressure bring law for Ram temple, it will again go for scrutiny of the supreme court, and then it will further delay the issue, therefore we will check the progress of the case and wait for the end of August. Then we will take the issue to Saints and they shall decide what to do next.’

He said, ‘we have appealed the supreme court for day-to-day hearing. This agitation was started in 1984 as per the wishes of saints. saints had asked us to start an agitation. We took the issue in our hand in 1984 and took it to every doorstep. We will proceed further as per the wishes of saints after August. We are not going to backtrack from Ram Mandir construction agenda.’

He added, ‘Ram virodhi, Jihadi, Maovadis and Congress, these three groups jointly are making efforts against construction of Ram Mandir. They are trying to delay the Supreme Court procedure. The are raising irrelevant questions. Ismael Faruqi case had nothing to with this. I want to warn them that however delay they cause, there’s a temple in Ayodhya which none in the world can remove. A grand temple will be constructed there. By the end of August we will hold meeting with saints.’

When asked why Prime Minister Narendra Modi doesn’t visit Ayodhya, Dr. Surendra Jain said, ‘the question should be asked to him. Mandir construction will be carried out by people. We have reached here on the basis of the strength of people. The government’s task is only to see that there are no obstructions in a way, and they are doing this and they will do, because we have brought them there. We are not going to dig their roots and bring those to power who made allegations of Hindu terrorism against VHP. Who framed and jailed Sadhvi Pragna and Swami Aseemanand. VHP is continuing with its agenda that was set up when VHP was established in 1964.’
