Met issues fresh heavy rain warning for August 21 and 22

Ahmedabad:

The monsoon in parts of Gujarat is likely to remain somewhat active day after tomorrow and the next day ie August 21 and 22 even as some places in the state also saw moderate to heavy rain today.

The met department has issued heavy rain warning for these two days.

A total of 95 talukas had seen light to moderate rain till 10 pm today with Tarapur in Anand seeing the maximum of 73 mm, Kotdasangani in Rajkot 67mm, Sanand in Ahmedabad district 46mm, Jesar in Bhavnagar 38mm, Ghogha and Petlad 35 mm each. Ahmedabad city also saw 10mm of rain.

Several parts of the state also remained cloudy to partly cloudy.

The heavy rain warning in the met bulletin is as follows-

August 21- Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Valsad and Navsari.

August 22- Heavy rains very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Valsad and Navsari.
