Around 100 rescued from Dev Aurum commercial high rise building in Ahmedabad after incident of fire

Ahmedabad: Around 100 persons were rescued from total four floors of Dev Aurum commercial complex in Prahladnagar area of Ahmedabad.
Chief Fire Officer of Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service, M.F. Dastoor said none was dead or hurt in this incident of fire but three persons were found fainted and they were taken to hospital.
He said fire broke out due to short circuit in vertical cable duct and therefore it impacted multiple floors. He said around 100 were inside the offices and they were all rescued. The building was vacated, he said.
He said fire safety system was in place in the complex but it was non-functional.
Dastoor said fire has been control. Three persons who were found fainted were hospitalized.
Total 12 vehicles of Fire and Emergency Service of AMC including fire tenders, water tankers, table ladders and hydraulic platforms were used to douse the fire.
