Group of Muslims to support Surat strike call on Monday

Surat District Muslim Education Society President Zahiruddin Bukharu, Surat Young Muslim Graduate Association President Mohammad Hanif Dalchawal, Anjuman-E-Islam Rander unit’s Dr.Iqbal Saiyad, Muzaddid Al Faisa Trust’s Arif Dada and Mohammad Ali Hakim etc. have supported Monday strike call in Surat in a statement. They have requested people to shut down schools and colleges on Monday.
Anglo Urdu high school run by the Surat District Muslim Education will go on strike protesting Surat rape incident.
Surat’s Urdu poets also participated in a meeting held at Adajan community hall to support Monday strike call. They demanded strictest possible actions against rapists. Urdu poets, Vasim Mallik, Mehboob Alam, Anjum Kanojia, Arif Arndolvi, Atik Danish, Anvar Faruki, Azim Ghadiyali, Sikandar Chandivala etc. demanded quick justice to a victim girl.
Meanwhile Surat Congress leader Kadir Pirzada in a statement said that strictest possible sentence should be given to the rapists. Such people have no religion.
