Congress walkout in Gujarat MPs meet

Gujarat Congress MPs staged walkout from All Gujarat MPs meet convened by the state government in presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi today at Gandhinagar Circuit house.

Gujarat Chief minister Narendra Modi had called a meeting with members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha of the state today at 4:30 pm to discuss pending issues of the state with the central government to put them up before the central government.

14 new issues were marked for discussion including GUJCOC, educational tribunal bill, linking of Par-Tapi-Narmada river, Narmada dam height issue, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) implementation issues, projects under Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna.

Congress MPs first attacked the state govt and then walked out

“Why do you invite us to such meeting without sending an agenda along with the invitation? We can study the issues before coming here if you send agendam,” asked Dinsha Patel, central Minister of state. Another central Minister Tushar Chaudhary supported Dinsha’s remark and added: “The Chief Minister in one of the Garib Melas said that I had hold file of sanctioning Rs 300 crore aid to tribal of Gujarat. If the Chief Minister shows existence of such file, I am ready to sign it today. If there is no such file, Chief Minister should resign.” The member of parliament from Dahod, Prabha Taviyad also jumped in a discussion and asked why she was prevented to attend Garib Kalyan Mela in her constituency even though she was invited for the same. When BJP MP Purushottam Rupala passed comment against attacks of Congress MPs in the meeting, the Congress MPs said the UPA government has helped Gujarat 10 times more compare to NDA government, but Chief Minister continues to speak lies against the UPA government.
