South Gujarat’s Ambach Nadifaliya village has formed its own set of prohibition rules with approval of village Sarpanch Balubhai Gamit. This includes Rs 25,000 cash fine to a person involved in producing liquor, Rs 50,000 cash fine to a person who supplies raw material for production of liquor, and social boycotting of a person who buy, sell or consume liquor.
The villagers are told not to bring liquor in the village even during social functions. Such activity would be suitable for Rs 25,000 fine plus social boycott.
