BRTS upto Gandhinagar,20 new bridges promised in BJP manifesto

The BJP on Monday, announced party manifesto for Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation election. Following are major highlights of the BJP manifesto.
-Construction of new bridges on as many as 20 junctions.
-Streetscaping concept will be practiced to develop the roads on wall-to wall bases with street furniture
-Planning and implementation will be done to ensure water supply to 100% area of the city, including the newly added areas up to Sardar Patel ring road.
-100% areas of the city will be provided the facility of underground gutter. Trench-less technology will be used to repair the decades old gutter pipe lines without digging the roads.
-25000 new street lights will be added. A 76-km long Sardar Patel ring road will get street light facility.
-300 new rooms will be constructed for schools. More educational institutions will be given responsibility to operate municipal schools.
-A 750-bed general hospital will be set up in eastern area of the city. As many as 100 urban health centres will be opened.
-All slum people will be provided new houses free-of-cost, and will be rehabilitated there.
-Each ward will have state-of-the-art gymnasium.
-Gandhinagar will be linked to Ahmedabad through BRTS service.
-Existing 88 km BRTS track will be stretched further to 38 km to connect each part of the city through BRTS.
-More than 1000 buses will be put on roads for the service to the people.
-15 lakes will be developed. Khari cut canal’s 17 km beautification work will be completed.
-New Oxygen parks and City forest will be developed.
-Three time bigger in size Gujari Bazar will be developed on Sabarmati River Front site.
-10 urban resources centres will be opened to facilitate easy availability of skillfull laborers, plumbers, electricians etc.
-In view of newly added areas, more civic centres will be set up – one for each ward.
-Floating restaurant and water sports activities will be started at Sabarmati river front.
-Wide roads will be constructed on both sides of Sabarmati river front.
-A cable car will be operated on Sabarmati River front.
-Kankaria lake front walls will present a story of Gujarat’s glory through murals.
-Kankaria will have multilevel parking facility.
-25 meter high moving tower will be set up.
-All zone offices will have wi-fi facility for the visitors.
-All AMTS buses will be converted to CNG.
-All AMTS buses will be equipped with GPS facility.
-All cremation complexes will be converted into CNG fueled.
-The trees that are to be removed for widening of the roads, will be replanted elsewhere.
-A 55-meter high snorkel will be brought for Fire brigade for fight against fire in multistory buildings.
-For newly added areas into the city, a new major size fire station will be set up on Sardar Patel ring road near Aslali.
-200 firemen will be inducted into the existing force.
-One more river bridge will be constructed to connect Sabarmati area and Airport.
-A cable stayed bridge will also be constructed.
