Dwarka to witness Rs. 125 cr development works in two years

Pilgrim town Dwarka will witness new tourist facilities and infrastructure works worth Rs. 125 crore in next two years. This was announced by Gujarat minister of Tourism Shri Jaynarayan Vyas recently in Dwarka.
Shri Vyas and Shri Nathwani said that While Rs. 93 crore will be spent for tourism development, Rs. 20 crore will be spent for underground gutter project. There is also a provision of Rs. 16 crore for drinking water project.
Dwarkadhish Devasthan Samiti’s Shri Parimal Nathwani (Rajyasabha MP) said that in the course of the development works, Dwarka’s Shri Dhirubhai Ambani road will be decorated, Laser show on Shri Krishna’s leela will be created, three beaches will be developed. Nathwani also said that presently those old or weak are not able to climb 56 steps of Jagat Mandir in view of which soon an automatic escalator will be set up at that pace.
Pavitra Yatradham Board’s Anil Patel said that a stage in the Mandir will be used for presentation of cultural programmes.
Giving details about the works the Collector of Jamnagar district Shri Sandipkumar said that Rs. 90 crore works are in pipeline in first phase which include Rs. 55 crore works for Dwarka and surrounding places and Rs. 35 works for Bey Dwarka and Okhamadhi’s development. He said a beautiful Okhamadhi beach will be developed and camping, water park, beach facilities will be created there. The Collector said that online donation system has been set up through HSFC and SBI ATM centres.
