PM’s adviser meets Modi over Gujarat govt’s skill development initiatives

Shri S.Ramadurai, adviser of the Prime Minister of India today held a high level meeting with Gujarat government and Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Ramadurai received details on progress of various skill building and skill development projects of state and central governments active under Gujarat’s skill development sector. He also received details on Gujarat government’s skill development centres and technical skill development activities including activities of ITI institutions.
Chief Minister Modi told Ramadurai that the state government’s seven departments and industrial houses have started a ‘Skill for all’ movement covering 2.5 million youths in public private partnership under Skill development mission.
Secretaries of seven government departments gave presentation on the subjects such as Gujarat Skill Development Mission, Skill enhancement centres, Mission Mangalam, Vocational skill training courses, upgradation of ITI institutions, and Ummid employment training schemes for urban poor youths.
Ramadurai was deeply interested in knowing about state government’s new initiatives and achievements in the area of skill development and human resources.
