Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya takes oath as new acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court

Gujarat High Court’s new acting Chief Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya today took oath in Ahmedabad. Appointed by the President of India, Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya replaces acting Chief Justice A.L.Dave who was officiating as in-charge Chief Justice after Chief Justice S J Mukhopadhaya was elevated to the Supreme Court. Justice A.L.Dave administered the oath procedure.
Gujarat High Court’s Justices, state law minister Shri Dilip Sanghani, minister of state for law Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, Advocate General Shri Kamal Trivedi, Additional Advocate General Shri Tushar Mehta, Government Pleader Shri Pankaj Champaneri, India’s Assistant solicitor General Shri O.L.Pande, State law secretary Shri Y.N.Oza, Gujarat HIgh Court advocate association’s President and office bearers, senior advocates were present on the occasion, said Registrar General of Gujarat High Court Shri G.R.Udvani.
B.Sc., LL.B. – Born on 29th September, 1952. Enrolled as an Advocate on 14th March, 1975. Designated as a Senior Advocate with effect from 19th December, 1994. Appointed as a permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 17th July, 1997
