Parsis celebrating Sanjan day today

South Gujarat’s Sanjan town is today celebrating Sanjan day. A programme in this regard has been organized near Kirti Stambh.
1295 years back, the Parsis left Iran and arrived at Sanjan port on this day. Sanjan day is celebrated to mark this occasion.
More than 1,000 Parsis arrive to attend Sanjan day function every year. Two trains Gujarat Express and Flying Rani are given special stoppage at Sanjan on this day.
