Director of Anti Corruption Bureau in Gujarat Shri Ashish Bhatia today in interaction with media persons appealed the people to contact the Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB) if they find some government official demanding bribe. Shri Bhatia asked media persons to publish ACB phone numbers so that people can come forward and file complaint.

ACB numbers are 079-22869228, 22860341, 22860342 and 22860343. Mobile number is 9099911055 and email address is [email protected].

Bhatia said, in 2008 and 2009 cases registered by ACB in Gujarat were around 175, in year 2010 the figure reached 233 and in 2011 the number of cases will be touching the figure of 250 or so.

Bhatia emphasized on need of awareness among people so that they can inform the ACB for concrete step agaist corrupt government worker.

He said the ACB control room works round the clock, and any person can surely contact the control room.

Bhatia informed media persons that his department has moved a proposal before state Home ministry for purchase of spy cameras, laptops, voice recorder machines and other high tech instruments to strengthen their work.
