Rann Utsav an opportunity to experience spiritual bliss:Modi(Video)

Inaugurating a gala cultural program – Kutch Carnival – in Bhuj today Chief Minister Narendra Modi exuded faith that the tourists will get a feel of spiritual bliss at the white rann of Kutch under the bright moonlight.

The colorful program of Kutch Carnival was organized on the eve of 38-day Rann Utsav. Some 35 artist-groups from Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh presented various cultural programs on the banks of historic Hamirsar lake and enthralled the tourists coming from over the world. The place wore a spectacular view with the attractive laser show and fireworks. There were about 34 tableaus on the show depicting the culture of Kutch.

Citing the slogan ‘Kutch nahi dekha to kuch nahi dekha’ Chief Minister invited tourists to have a feel of spiritual bliss during the Rann Utsav.

Chief Minister expressed his desire to develop ‘Bird Watchers Tourism’ in Gujarat. Gujarat is known for its hospitality. Gujarat plays as an ideal host not only for humans but also for birds, he said.

Stating that the heritage buildings in Gujarat hold a great significance Chief Minister expressed determination to earn a global recognition for these buildings.

Chief Minister recalled that when forty years back on 9th December Pakistan attacked on Bhuj airport; the valiant women of Madhapar-Kutch showed great courage and repaired the runway overnight.

Tourism Minister Jay Naray Vyas said the Rann Utsav which is being organized since 2006 is a result of farsighted approach of Chief Minister Narendra Modi and the festival has been successful in giving Gujarat a new identity on the global tourism map. He also enumerated various new tourist attractions which have been added this year in Rann Utsav.

Minister Mr. Vasanbhai Ahir, Minister of State for tourism Jitendra Sukhadiya, Chairman of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Kamlesh Patel, government officials and citizens in large number were present on the occasion.
