Gandhinagar district’s Dahegam will observe bandh today against kidnapping and killing of a six year old girl Dhruvi.

Dhruvi was in her school, when a woman came to her class room and asked teacher that she was sister of Dhruvi’s father and wanted to take Dhruvi to doctor as she was having fever.

The teacher allowed stranger woman to take away the child believing that she was genuinely her relative. While the teacher was new (got the job in this school just a one month back) and had just entered the class(which was mixture of two classes as Dhruvi’s teacher was on leave), 1st stanard girl Dhruvi herself was not seen resisting while going with the kidnaper woman, according to a teacher. Interesting fact is that the teacher allowed Dhruvi to go with that woman, and didn’t take a note of the fact that the woman was leaving with Dhruvi without her school bag. Dhruvi’s school bag was lying in the class room only.

The school has three peons, but principal says that, while two of them were on leave, the other one on duty was on upper floor for some work.

When Dhruvi’s mother arrived at Purnima school at 3.30 pm to take her back to home, she came to know about the fact that somebody else had taken away Dhruvi as early as at 1.00 pm.

Dhruvi’s mother has filed police complaint.

School management has accepted their fault.

Locals blamed that while on normal day same Purnima school doesn’t allow parents to even enter inside the campus, how come a stranger woman was allowed to take away a child so easily during the school time from a class room?

While police was making a sketch of a woman of 20-25 age, Dhruvi’s partially burnt dead body was found on village side near Talod.

Locals have declared bandh protesting against the kidnapping and killing of Dhruvi.

Bandh was solid and successful. Police has found the culprits. According to sources, the woman involved was sister of Dhruvi’s father(not direct sister). She had done this act with her lover to take revenge against Dhruvi’s father in connection with property dispute.
