Gujarat Congress promises to fill one lakh govt jobs, age bar rise, new ITIs (Video)

-One lakh posts in government service to be filled in. Age limit for Government service to be increased upto 35 years and all will be paid full wages.

-New Employment Policy will be framed. Every factory must provide 80% employment to local youth and same will be made applicable to existing factories including of TATA.

-Generation of 10 lakh new employments for educated youth in five years.

-Appointment of 2.50 lakh educated unemployed young boys and girls as Apprentice Trainees under Apprenticeship Act with stipend. Strict enforcement of Apprenticeship Act.

-Five lakh youth to be trained through Skill Development Centers for creating world-class manpower.

-100 new I.T.I. to be started in the State with new trades-Constitution of “Gujarat Handicraft Academy” for training to the artisans, Vishwakarma samaj, for tannery work, weaving and knitting etc.

-Making available avenues for national-international markets for youth of traditional artisans by adding value addition and introducing modernization in their trades.

-Scheme for allotment of land in GIDC, loans and subsidies for self-employment of professionally and technically educated youth.

-Scheme to be introduced for technical and financial assistance for educated young boys and girls of agriculturist family for value addition in agricultural produces and to set up processing units.

-Setting up of “Agro Industries Training Center” in four Agricultural Universities for benefit of educated young boys and girls of agriculturist family for value addition by setting up of processing unit and production.

-International Training Center for value addition in traditional professions and self-employment centers in eastern belt of Tribal area.

-New I.T. education/profession policy for increasing employment in I.T. sector. Gujarat to be made I. T. Hub.
-Development of Tourism centers and development of marine resources for new employment generation of coastal area.
-Single rooms to be allotted for single professional young boys-girls in metro cities by setting up Hostels for Working men and women.

Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee today, announcing their Seventh Point on Youth and Employment under their “Gujarat Praja Vikas Darshan-2012”, stated that the Congress Government which is to come to office in December, 2012 will relax age limit upto 35 years in Government jobs, 80% employment to local residents to be made mandatory by brining new industrial policy, generation of 10 lakh new employment opportunities for youth, recruitment of 5 lakh youth under the Apprenticeship Act, Employment Parks in bigger towns for self-employment, setting up of 100 new I.T.I., allotment of 500-100 yards plots in industrial estates for setting up small industries to the youth having acquired technical and professional qualifications and grant of subsidies to them, Vocational Self-employment centers for tribal youth in eastern-Tribal belt and international level training institute for professional training, land to artisans and youth of Vishwakarma samaj for their traditional professions, priority in loans and subsidies, setting up of Agro Industries Training Centers in four Agricultural Universities for value additional in agro-products in processing and manufacturing for youth of agriculturist families and allotment of lands for setting up agro-based industries, loan and subsidy assistances, providing self-employment by connecting traditional cottage industries and Khadi industries with new technologies and national and international markets, filling up of 1 lakh new vacancies in Government services, employment generation in I. T. Sector by formulating new I.T. policy.

Addressing a joint press conference at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan today, Shri Arjun Modhwadia, President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, Leader of Opposition of Gujarat Assembly Shri Shaktisinh Gohil and Shri Shankarsinh Vaghela, Chairman of Election Campaign Committee, announced Seventh Point under their “Gujarat Praja Vikas Darshan-2012” stated that in spite of number of announcements made by Bahurupi Modi for large investments in Gujarat, there are 10 lakh educated unemployed youth in Gujarat as on today. There are no employment opportunities available in Gujarat for the Post Graduate and M.B.A. youth.

PTC, B.Ed, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management degree holder young boys and girls are also without any employment. The next Government, if formed by the Congress party, will create 10 lakh new jobs in five years tenure by formulating new Employment and Industrial policies. By training five lakh educated youth, world-level manpower would be generated through modern

Kaushalya Vardhan Kendras for skill development of present educated unemployed youth. Such trained youth will get priority for jobs in national and international market.

Though it is mandatory to appoint professionally trained young boys and girls under the Government of India’s Apprenticeship Act with stipend, no recruitment is being made in Gujarat under this Act by favoring industries in Gujarat. Congress will ensure strict enforcement of this Act and shall make them to recruit 2.50 lakh young boys and girls as a Apprentice Trainees with stipend. 100 new I.T.I.s will be set up in the State and world-class technicians will be trained in these I.T.I.s by introducing Trades of modern technologies.

“Gujarat Handicraft Academcy” will be constituted with a view to train young children of artisan families including Vishwakarma Samaj, engaged in tannery work, weaving work, potters, carpenters, blacksmiths, Kansara (utensil manufacturing) and weaving and knitting works and to bring value additions to their respective trades/professions by modernizing their professions and will be linked to the national-international markets. This will promise bright future of youth of families of artisans like weavers, carpenters, Prajapati, blacksmiths etc.

For the purpose of venturing into profession of their respective fields, youth having acquired technical and professional education will be allotted 500-1000 yard plots in Industrial Estates (GIDC) to start their small industries, with grant of loans and subsidies to them.

For enabling young educated boys and girls of farmers’ families to venture into agriculture activities and to establish agro-based industries and to bring value addition to the agricultural activities, they will be trained by setting up “Agro Industries Training Centers” in four Agricultural Universities. For such trained children of farmers, schemes for assistances for approach to technical knowhow and market for agro-based production and processing plants with value addition, as also for loans and subsidies to them will be made available.

There is lack of employment and job avenues for education tribal youth in eastern Tribal belt. Traditional Self-employment centers will be set up for youth of this area and an International level Technical Training Institute will be established for opening new employment and job opportunities with value addition, for them.

I.T. sector is the most employment generating sector, however, there is no institutes of high repute in I. T. in the State nor there is any I.T. industry units in the State.

Congress Government will device new I.T. Policy, and by introducing scheme of free laptop to youth, every student will be I.T. empowered. By making Gujarat I.T. Hub, large number of employment will be generated.

Local employment will be made available to the people inhibiting in coastal areas by generating new employment opportunities with value addition in the fields of marine products, beach tourism and tourist centers.

Congress Government will establish Workingmen and Working women hostels and made available single rooms to such employed girls and boys.

Congress party will introduce new Employment Policy under which local employment upto 80% shall be made mandatory for all the industries and commercial concerns. Such policy of 80% employment to the local youth will be enforced also in case of already functioning industries including TATA.

At present, about 1 lakh vacancies i.e. 33% posts are vacant in Government service. These posts will be filled in immediately and all will be paid full salaries. Age limit will be relaxed upto 35 years in Government services.
