Ahmedabad, 29 October 2012
Gujarat two main political parties today met the Chief Election Commissioner and CEC team from New Delhi.
Sharing the details of Gujarat BJP’s representation before the CEC Shri Amit Shah said, “At some places water released for winter crop irrigation has been stopped by some collectors due to code of conduct. We requested to allow water release in canals. We also spoke about restrictions on cash carry in view of Diwali bonus and monthly payments. We also raised Vastanvi issue. Vastanavi had clearly violated the code of conduct, and proper steps should be taken against him.”
Sharing the details of Gujarat Congress’s representation before the CEC, Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia said, “the state administration is working as per the Chief Minister’s orders. The Election Commission has not be able to play effective role due to this. BJP collected more than Rs 560 crore through Dhan Sangraha. This black money is used to run NAMO channel. This channel and other propaganda should be properly observed by the EC.”
