Joint inter services expedition in creek,land,water,air,rann kicked off

Joint Inter Service Expedition in Creek, Land, Water, Air and Rann was flagged off by Air Marshal Daljit Singh AVSM VM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command on 12 March 2013 from Ahmedabad. This expedition in the region of Rajasthan and Gujarat is first of its kind undertaken by the ‘Golden Katar Signalers’, primarily to develop synergy amongst the tri-services with BSF and Coast Guard for close coordination in Rajasthan and Gujarat region.
The team consisting of six officers and ten other ranks of various services, will cover 1839 Kms in a span of 11 days starting from Ahmedabad, Jaisalmer, Sundra, Munabao, Suigam, Lakhpat, Jakhau, Okha, Porbandar and ending at Veraval.
The team will not only interact with local population, spreading awareness about the forces and need to preserve fragile ecology of Rajasthan and Gujarat but will also enhance synergy amongst the services for close coordination and better operational preparedness. The Chief Guest commended Golden Katar Signalers for conducting such an expedition as it covers places all along the IB in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
