Indore, 18 July 2013
Speaking at ‘meet the press’ programme organized at Indore Press Club today, Shri Anna Hazare said that he has not received any evidence suggesting that Modi is a communal leader.
He continued and said, “what Narendra Modi and what Rahul Gandhi, till the time India’s Prime Minister is connected to any political party, the nation and the society shall not get the right Prime Minister.”
“The nation will get correct President and Prime Minister only when people will directly elect the candidate for these posts.”
Anna said it is not right for Manmohan to continue as Prime Minister any longer, as the picture of coal scam is very clear. Singh should step down on moral grounds.
Hazare clarified that he is not anti-Congress. He said he has nothing to do with BJP or Congress.
“My question is that why BJP didn’t protest enough against coal scam in parliament?” he said.
