Gujarat Chief Minister was wished on his birthday today by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, LK Advani, Lata Mangeshkar, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Venkaia Naidu and others.

Shri Modi visited former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel’s house in Gandhinagar in the morning and received his blessings. He also visited his mother Hiraba who lives with Modi’s younger brother Pankaj Modi in Gandhinagar. Modi’s mother gifted him a book of Yatharth Geeta.

In Delhi, the BJP is starting its assembly election campaign today on the occasion of Modi’s birthday from Talkatora stadium. Party president Shri Rajnath Singh will address the event.

Modi’s supporters offered a ‘chaddar’ on his birthday at Ajmer Sharif dargah.

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat sang birthday song on screen during her TV show ‘The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon ki Mallika.’

Mallika, few days back, had said that Narendra Modi is the most eligible bachelor of India. He is smart, progressive and often misunderstood like her.

In Allahabad(U.P) a sand sculpture artist has made sculpture of Modi in ‘Tridev’ style.

At Junagadh, Champarda based saint Muktanandji cut the cake to celebrate Modi’s birthday. Local BJP helped those prisoners who were in jail just because of their inability to pay fine. The BJP deposited money in jail and made their release possible.

In Surat, one sweet shop has announced special discount on Narendra Modi’s birthday. They have put up a banner announcing same. Employees in this shop are wearing Modi’s masks.

In Ahmedabad’s Jamalpur area, a group of Muslims led by Rauf Bengali and local BJP MLA Bhushan Bhatt celebrated Modi’s birthday by cutting cake.

At Vadodara, Muslims cut the cake, bust crackers in public near Mandvi on Modi’s birthday.

In Rajkot, the women’s cell organized maha arti at Panchnath mandir. Laghu udhyog sangathan distributed school items to children.

In Ahmedabad, BJP’s Bakshi panch morcha distributed fruits in public hospital in Mayor’s presence.

In Nadiad, local MLA Pankajbhai distributed fruits in public hospital.

Eye donation camp, nutritious food distribution in anganwadi, cake cutting by Muslims, Maha aarti at Amdavad’s Jagannath mandir were some other progammes held today morning.

Shri Modi will be greeted in a public event at 3.00 pm at Gandhinagar town hall.
