Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to visit Gujarat

The Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh will visit Gujarat to inaugurate a newly built museum at national memorial of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Ahmedabad on 29 October.
Prime Minister had sanctioned money for revamp work of existing Sardar Patel memorial on request of present union minister and Congress MP Dinsha Patel who is also heading the memorial trust.
Sardar Patel’s memorial is located in old palace built by Shah Jahan who also built Taj Mahal. Alteration in Shah Jahan’s palace had sparked some protest.
Sardar Patel’s anniversary is on 31st October.
