Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar shares dais with Modi, endorses him for PM post(Video)

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today called for framing a comprehensive national health policy with stress on common man’s health assurance, more than health insurance.
Inaugurating the Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre, run by Lata Mangeshkar Foundation, at Pune in Maharashtra, he lauded the efforts of melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and her family in starting this super specialty hospital in the name of their father Dinanath Mangeshkar.
Comparing the event to the Mangeshkar family’s tribute to ancient Indian seer Dhanantwari on the occasion of Dhanantwari Jayanti, Mr. Modi said the speed in which the medical science progressing it is time for India to link it with the study and knowledge of human aura.
He said that India has also the potential to link the world with its medical tourism. India is a unique country where medical treatment is considered to be a service to the society and where doctors treat patients with empathy. There is a great scope for expanding medical and paramedical courses of studies and extending medical services to rural India and to the poor. He said that telemedicine with mobile phones could fill-in the gap.
Mr. Modi also stressed on the need to expand and utilize the knowledge about dietary and nutrition, maintaining equilibrium with nature, breathing fresh air and consuming pure water and avoiding adulterated food. He listed Gujarat’s initiatives in providing these facilities like water and natural gas through pipelines and nutritious food to children and expectant mothers.
Besides Lata Mangeshkar, those who spoke on the occasion included Babasaheb Purandhare, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Dr. Dhananjay Kelkar and Ashatai Bhosle.
Mr. Modi and guests went around the hospital and honoured the donors.
