Ahmedabad Police issues further security instructions to malls

Following recent attack on a mall in Kenya, the Ahmedabad city police has asked mall owners to install CCTV cameras with video/audio recording facilities at exit gate and on the back side of the mall. Cameras will need to have following specification: colour-image, I.P.base, 1.3 mega pixel with night vision capability, data storage-15 days minimum.
All vehicles including cars and two-wheelers will need to be checked and all the persons sitting inside the car will also need to be checked.
In case of change of ownership of mall, new owners will need to inform the special branch of police commissioner office.
All luggage entering the mall will have to be checked to prevent any explosive. Well informed and properly trained security persons will have to be deployed round the clock for security of mall. with sniffer dogs. The notification will be effective till 31st December, breach of which is punishable under IPC 1860, section 188.
