Suspended deputy superintendent of police and an accused in the Sadiq Jamal Mehtar encounter case, Tarun Barot has filed plea for 45 days interim bail.

Barot wants bail due to wedding function in family.

Barot was arrested and jailed in September 2012 on charges of abduction, murder and criminal conspiracy. He was charged in December last. He has been arrested in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case also.
