In 140 characters Kiran Bedi showed real picture of political situation

Ahmedabad, 10 January 2014

Kiran Bedi has tweeted that she would vote for Modi. Bedi has not just tweeted her wish, but also tweeted a logic behind this. Bedi’s three tweets are presented here:

(1). For me it’s India First! Stable,Well Governed,Administered,Accountable and Inclusive. As a an independent voter,my vote is for NaMo

(2). Any one of us who wants a scam free country cannot vote back Congress!India needs stability and experienced hands to provide for all!

(3). If v can as today get a stable alternative which has experience to govern and take the country forward why would I not vote against statusquo?

Before tweeting it, Bedi said the same during discussion on a news channel. She said, “We have to make choice between two national parties. Shall we elect the party that is in power at present, the party that did all scandals in last nine years? Or shall we elect the other national party that is led by someone showing governance, someone who has been elected thrise in Gujarat? Arvind Kejriwal is honest, but he has no experience to run the government in centre, and he also doen’t have figure. I favor stability, and if Modi can bring that, I favor that.”

Kiran Bedi has given importance to stability in her statement and tweet. She has almost expressed an opinion that a vote to any other party is like wasting a vote.

Kiran Bedi has expressed her opinion at the time when Congress has clearly realized that it is facing difficulty to reach even the figure of 100 seats in upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Congress is therefore attempting for formation of non-BJP government in 2014. It can be either Congress supported government, or Congress government supported by others. Congress is ready to be happy with both situations. This is because in any of two situations, the remote control will be with Congress. If Congress has to support other party, it can invite mid-term polls in 2016 or 2017 and attempt for Rahul Gandhi as PM.

Such instability could be clearly visible to any sensible person like Kiran Bedi.

Another issue. Sowing of seeds of confusion is going on rampantly over the surface of clarity, only and only through news media these days. In this situation, Kiran Bedi has stressed for need of experience also.

Bedi has mentioned scams of Congress rule to reject Congress. She has mentioned need for stability to rejected small parties. She has mentioned need for experienced hands to reject a newly formed party, before choosing to vote for Modi.

In limit of 140 characters, by using only few words, Bedi has in her tweet presented factual situation of Indian politics. This could be a factual situation of voter’s mind too.
