Ahmedabad, 2 June, 2014
As per a news report published in English newspaper DNA quoting Gujarat state Industries Commissioner Kamal Dayani, the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 will have The United Kingdom, Singapore and The Netherlands as first-time partners.
As per the website of the summit, Holland, Canada(partners since 2011), Great Britain and Australia are partner countries of the summit, however confirmation from Japan which partnered the summit since 2009 has not been arrived yet.
As Government of Gujarat is looking for one partner country representing from each continent barring Latin America, talks with South Africa are going on.
The summit is held every two years since 2003.
Advantage added:
The Vibrant Gujarat Summit initiative was taken by former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi in 2003. Shri Modi is now Prime Minister. Apart from other advantages like geographical location, good infrastructure, business friendly eco-system including comparatively better law and order situation and willing-to-serve system, Gujarat has now also an advantage of same party/same leader’s stable government in both centre and state. Participation of union government in Vibrant Gujarat Summit is expected to be overwhelming in 2015 compared to previous summits that were not actively participated by Government of India. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, January 2015 will be the first summit without Narendra Modi as Chief Minister. Minister Saurabh Patel is leading the team preparing for making the summit a big success.
