After series of meetings with local administration, police officers, politicians and Jain monks on fast today the fast agitation was called off in presence of BJP MP and MoS.
Jain monks said they have received assurance on strict action against illegal slaughter activities in Palitana town. They said the existing notification issued by the administration covers a main road leading to holly hill and 250 meter area on its both sides, but Jain community and those in their support want ban on non-veg/eggs/slaughter activities not just in limited area but in entire Palitana.
