Police chase vehicle, fire rounds, arrest one with cow beef in Ahmedabad

It was a morning time and Ahmedabad police spotted a jeep vehicle passing through the Vijlighar char rasta area of wall city. The vehicle didn’t stop when asked to do so. At some distance away, the vehicle stopped, but a person inside stepped out and tried to escape. Police fired one warning round in air and another in tyre of the jeep during chase. A person was arrested. Police recovered cow beef from inside the vehicle. Cow slaughtering is illegal in Gujarat as per a law which has been approved by the Supreme Court when challenged. The vehicle had sticker of APMC(Agriculture Produce Market Committee) to escape the attention of police.
