Science City to get new pavilions, five new science museums planned

Ahmedabad’s Science City will soon hae five new pavilions. Gujarat Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama shared this detail in the assembly.
He said five pavilions to be set up are: (1) Hall of big bite, IT and Electronics, (2) Hall of biotechnology, How things work and (4) Looking ahead.
He further said that Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) has planned science museums at Bhuj, Patan, rajkot, Bhavnagar and Vadodara.
He said the state government will set up 10,000 science clubs and Group Science Centres at taluka levels.
Chudasama said the government has connected 13,685 gram panchayats through VSAT broad band.
Gujarat Biotechnology Mission has developed band-aids matching with quality of Johnson and Johnson made band-aid, but costing just Rs. 250-300 against J&J’s price of Rs. 2500-3000.
He said state government run Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Application and Geo Informatics institute will use D2H satellite services in future to provide education, agriculture, trade related services.
