Hindu mandir vandalized, Idar town observes bandh

Hindu and Muslim both communities observed strike in Idar town of north Gujarat on Wednesday following an incident in which murtis of Parvati mata and Nandi were vandalized in a temple here.
The temple Dusheshwar Mahadev was built in Gaikwad state time. It is located on foothills of Idariyo Gadh.
On Raman Eid day, some unidentified persons uprooted murtis of Paravati mata and Nandi and threw them on the floor nearby.
Local devotees came to know about this when they came to perform evening aarti.
On Wednesday morning a big rally of local people went to Collector office seeking arrest of anti-social elements behind this act.The town observed bandh following a call given by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Idar Nagar Utsav Samiti.
Muslim community joined the strike call and supported the demand of strict action against those involve in vandalizing act.
