Gujarat to set up 8 electronic clusters by 2015:Minister

Gujarat government will set up five greenfield and three brownfield electronic clusters by year 2015, said Science and Technology minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama in Delhi. He said Gujarat will soon set up semiconductor FAB unit.
Chudasama was in Delhi to participate in a national level meeting of state IT ministers with centre. He said Gujarat government has prepared a separate e-governance policy covering 500 services. He requested union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for fast implementation of national fiber network in Gujarat. He also asked centre to set up E-governance university, centre of excellence for E-governance and digital library in Gujarat.
He said Gujarat government has witnessed transaction of Rs. 81.95 crore during January 2013-July 2014 on E-Taal portal which is 26% of total transaction of state government in this period.
