South Korean steel giant Posco to invest US$ 20 million in Gujarat

South Korean Ambassador Joongyu Lee during his Gujarat visit today told reporters that South Korean steel company Posco will set up a coil mill in the state by investing around US$ 20 million
He said the Gujarat government proposed ‘Exclusive Industrial Zone’ for Korean companies in Gujarat. There’s one such exclusive industrial zone for Korean firms in Rajasthan.
He added that even the giants like LG and Samsung can think of Gujarat as a destination.
Lee compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi with late South Korean president Park Chung-hee who gave huge contribution to Korea. He said, with the Modi government in power and with the new government policy he expects rapid investment in India in future.
Earlier in the day, Lee met Gujarat Chief Minister with a delegation of about 15 industrialists.
