GSPC announces second cut in gas price in a month

Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation(GSPC), which mainly purchases gas from global market and supplies it to domestic industrial units has reviewed present global scenario of gas prices and taken a decision to reduce the cost with an effect from 16 December 2014.
According to a communication received from GSPC, price of PNG(Industrial gas) has been reduced from Rs. 39.65 to Rs. 38.65/standard cubic meter(SCM) without taxes.
This second cut announced by GSPC in industrial gas price in last one month. Earlier on November 10, GSPC had announced Rs. 2 cut in industrial gas price effective from 16 November(from Rs. 41.65 to Rs. 39.65/SCM. Thus in one month period, gas price per SCM has come down by Rs.3/SCM.
