500 US companies likely to attend Vibrant Gujarat summit:US Consul General to Gujarat CM

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today held a detailed meeting with delegates of American Chamber of Commerce in India, led by the Mumbai-based United States Consul-General Thomas Vadja, here with a view to making their participation more fruitful in Gujarat Government’s biennial flagship event Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit (VGGIS) from January 11 to 13, 2015.
According to a statement issued by Chief Minister’s office, Mr. Vadja told Anandiben that representatives of nearly 500 American companies and top honchos are likely to attend the global summit here.
Mrs. Patel told the delegation that as many as eight nations are participating in VGGIS-2015 as Partner Countries even as the global summit has over the years emerged as a platform for knowledge sharing, besides attracting foreign investment in Gujarat. A detailed presentation on the forthcoming events was made before the delegation.
She invited the American delegates to attend the pre-VGGIS events also like Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and CEOs Conclave from January 7 to 9, as well as International Kite Festival to be held here during Makar Sankranti.
Prominent among those present during the meeting included American Chamber of Commerce in India Executive Director Ajay Singha, Rustam Desai, Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary Kailashnathan, Principal Secretary for Industries Atanu Chakraborty, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Murmu and Secretary Bhadu.
