All kites are delayed in Ahmedabad due to fog, dew, drizzle
January 14, 2015
Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat
Uttarayan morning today was totally different and surprising in Ahmedabad due to unusual fog, dew and even drizzle at places.
Dense fog which is rare in Ahmedabad played a spoilsport for kite enthusiasts. As many as 17 accident cases were reported by emergency ambulance team ‘108’. Most of them could be due to foggy atmosphere, it was reported.
Kite enthusiasts complained they couldn’t see their own kite in sky due to fog. This has never happened in past in this city.
On other day, people could enjoy hill station like atmosphere and fog for a change, but as it is Uttarayan day, fog is not well received because it adversely affect kite flying experience.
Point of worry is that whether Ahmedabad which is perhaps for the first time witnessing such a dense fog situation will regularly have such foggy atmosphere like Delhi? It will make trouble for the citizens in that case, because fog gifts poor visibility which results in to road accidents, slow traffic, cancellation of flights and trains(fortunately that has not happened today in Ahmedabad)and other problems.
Update:
– Jet Airways plane to Rajkot diverted to Ahmedabad airport due to low visibility
– Trains from north India and Mumbai to Ahmedabad upto 4 hours late.
-One dead in road accident near Natraj theater in Ahmedabad.
