Gujarat’s 64 issues pending with centre, Modi govt resolves 17, progress in 9: CM meets MPs

Addressing a meeting of members of parliament representing Gujarat, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today said that with Narendra Modi at helm of the government in centre, in nine months period so far, 17 issues of Gujarat pending with centre are resolved in favor of Gujarat.
She said in 9 important matters, in-principle favor of central government has been achieved and procedure of solution of these matters has been speedier.
Chief Minister said the long pending issues with centre resolved include approval to Narmada dam height, approval to Ahmedabad-Mumbai bulet train project, approval fo phase-1 of Ahmedabad Metro Rail project, approval to Vanakbori thermal power project, approval to road construction connecting Kuneriya to Mauvana in wildlife sanctuary land, approval to proceed Ghaduli-Santalpur road construction, approval to Narmada canal works, financial assistance to Statue of Unity project, power of approval to proeject in 5-40 ha land under Van Samrakshan Adhiniyam to regional office, allocation fof expansion of Gujarat bhavan in New Delhi, approval fo KU band relay through DTH for programmer related to education and skill development etc.
Chief Minister said that 9 other matters in which in-principle approval has been achieved need folowup and consultation with ministry by parliament members representing Gujarat.
Chief Minister told MPs that whenever any MP needs further details to effectively raise state’s issues in parliament, the state government will extend full support.
Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister and concerned union departments for positive approach for solution of issues pertaining to Gujarat.
64 important issues pertaining to Gujarat were discussed in the meeting through presentation.
Ministers, chief secretary, principal secretary of chief minister, senior officers, chief minister’s secretary Ajay Bhadu etc were present in this meeting.
