CM in Kutch: 300 MW power plant,3 substations,slum free Bhuj project,Vibrant Kutch inaugurated

Gujarat Chief Minister today dedicated 300 MW coal power station set up by OPG Power Ltd.
British Deputy High Commissioner Geof Wen attended the function.
Speaking at a function, OPG Power MD Arvind GUpta said this is OPG’s first venture in Gujarat at a cost of Rs. 1855 crore. He said about 5,000 people will get direct and indirect employment through power stations’ contribution to the areas of agriculture and industries. He said the plant has most modern air cooling system attached to it which will prevent coal particle spread in air.
Chief Minister during her Kutch visit also dedicated 3 substations, each having installed capacity of 66 KV. Substations are situated at Vanki patri, Ambasiya and Gundiyali villages of Mundra and Mandvi talukas.
Chief Minister performed ground breaking for construction of 314 affordable housing units. This project has been started with intention to make district headquarter of Kutch, Bhuj city slum-free. Each house will have two rooms, toilet, bathroom, gutter, power, water and pucca road facility. 116 houses of Ramdevnagar, 42 of Bhimaraonagar, 156 in GIDC are covered under slum free city scheme while others are covered under Rajiv Avas Yojana. Total 341 pucca houses are to be built.
Chief Minister during her Kutch visit addressed review meeting of district in presence of all major government officials working in Kutch.
She also inaugurated seminars of Vibrant Kutch event.
