Bharatsinh Solanki to take charge as GPCC chief on March 7

Newly appointed president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee(GPCC) Bharatsinh Madhavsinh Solanki will take charge of office on Saturday, March 7 at Gujarat Congress headquarters Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in Ahmedabad.
A function for Solanki’s installation as state party president will be held at 4.00 pm in presence of party leaders and workers from across the state. State party office has conveyed cadres in districts to attend the function in good number. Solanki’s own team is active in Borsad/Anand belt of central Gujarat to ensure that supporters remain present in the function.
This function to welcome Solanki as party president will also offer farewell to outgoing party chief Arjun Modhwadia.
Party workers have been asked to wear masks during their presence in this function in view of swine flu situation.
Solanki is believed Rahul Gandhi’s choice. It is believed that party’s national president Sonia Gandhi has approved sulking son’s list and made appointments as per his choice. Rahul has disappeared for last few days and he is not attending parliament. Party hopes that his choice of appointments may bring him back soon. Family dominated and controlled Congress party is all set to install Rahul as party’s national president in national executive meeting in Bengaluru by April.
