Minister of State in centre and Rajkot BJP MP Mohanbhai Kundaria joined with Porbandar MP Vitthalbhai Radadia have made successful representations in the centre and have got approved Rs. 36 crore over bridge work at Shapar-Veraval.

A demand to construct an over bridge here was made by Shapar-Veraval Industrial Association. Shapar-Veraval is industrial area where traffic problem is increasing due to growing number of transport trucks and other vehicles. Roads to Porbandar, Junagadh, Gondal and other urban areas also pass through this area.

Kundaria and Radadia had made representation on this issue before the National Highway Authority of India(NHAI) recently. NHAI has approved total Rs. 80 crore works which include Rs. 30.68 crore Shapar over bridge, Rs. 13.81 crore Pardi under bridge, Rs. 12.86 crore Pardi Shitla Mata Mandir under bridge, Rs. 11.63 crore Gondal ITI under bridge, Rs. 3 crore Umvada chokdi over bridge, service roads, lighting towers etc facilities.
