In photos: Coast Guard, IAF rescue crew of sinking ship off Gujarat coast

Indian Navy and Coast Guard rescued 14 crew including Master of MV Coastal Pride ship which sank 24 nautical mile south of Daman this morning.
Sea King helicopter took off from Mumbai at 8.00 am and rescued 6 crew. Two Coast Guard Chetak took off from Daman at 8.40 am and rescued 8.
The crew members were winched up by a Sea King 42C helicopter.
During the most dramatic rescue, the ship capsized.
MV Coastal Pride was a cement career. All crew safely evacuated to Umar Gaon in Gujarat.
14 of crew members were rescued by Indian navy and Indian Coast Guard this morning before the ship sank off Daman coast.
In another development, two MI-75 helicopters were launched from Jamnagar for rescue and flood relief operations in Amreli district.
IAF’s MI-17 V5s from Air Force station in Jamnagar carried out rescue missions at Gavadka and Khari in Amreli district and conducted recce of situation of Rajkot.
