In pictures: IAF rescue operation in flood-hit north Gujarat

Spokesperson of Ministry of Defence has released series of photographs on Indian Air Force’s rescue mission in flood-hit areas of north Gujarat. Some photos show flood-ravaged villages of Patan and Banaskantha districts. A set of four photos show IAF’s rescue operation in Gugal village where 64 persons, engulfed by rising flood waters, were rescued by IAF Mi-17 V5 helicopters. A set of another four photos features rescue operation using IAF MI-17 V5 Helicopters at Panchasar village in Patan District where over a dozen people were trapped in a state transport bus stuck in river Rupen’s flood water.
