37 tribal laborers rescued from flood in Dholka

37 tribal farm labourers from Dahod were rescued from flood-hit area of Dholka near Ahmedabad by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC)’s Fire and Emergency Service teams after 2-3 hours long rescue operation using 3 rescue boats.
They were from Sanjeli and Dungarpur villagesof Limkheda taluka in Dahod district of central Gujarat. They were living in farm. On 30th July night water released from Dharoi dam reached Pisavada village area through river Sabarmati. The labourers trapped in this water were rescued in midnight operation by Fire team of AMC following directive by local MLA and minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.
It should be mentioned here that 22 villages of Dholka belt are flood-affected.
