Installation of gates over Narmada dam likely to begin in October

As per the latest details available, construction work of half of the total 29 piers has been completed at Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam site. Their full height of 144.50 meter has been achieved. Not just this but construction of 3 bridge slabs has been completed, while construction for another 3 bridge slabs is ongoing. Installation of gates over Narmada dam is likely to begin on October 15. These details were shared by DSE RB Bhatt during visit to the dam paid by assembly Speaker Ganpat Vasava joined by whip Ajay Choksi and Civil Supply Board Chairman Bhupendra Lakhawala.
