26 Police buildings, 152 police men were attacked during Patidar violence

12 police stations and 14 police chowkies were attacked by mobs during violent Patidar agitation across Gujarat.
Five police stations including Unjha, Gadh Balisana and Kalol were not just attacked but torched after locking cops inside the building. Policemen were saved luckily as they escaped the place, or in some other cases other group of people rescued them.
In total 152 police men were injured while 1 was killed. 254 police vehicles suffered damage.
Violent mobs had not just attacked police, but also a judge in Patan.
Patan district court civil judge Rupesh Kakkad was on way to Additional Chief Judge Joshi’s residence in the morning on 26 August when a mob stopped his car, pulled him and his driver outside and burnt his car.
These details were shared during high power committee meeting in Gandhinagar on Tuesday.
The high power committee is headed by state Chief Secretary.
