Police recovers walky talky sets from Patidar agitators

Arvalli police was shocked to find wireless walky talky sets from three cars of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) leaders detained yesterday near Tenpur village close to Bayad. The cars were part of PAAS leader Hardik Patel’s convoy.
Police recovered six wireless walky talky sets along with at least 17 mobile phones. These devises are sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar for detail investigation.
Range IG Hasmukh Patel confirmed that walky talky sets were recovered and said if walky talky sets were kept with prescribed permission, there’s nothing to object, but if they were being used without proper permission, actions will be taken as per law.
The cars with PAAS leaders were in Tenpur in connection with public meeting of Patidars which was addressed by convener Hardik Patel. According to police the meeting was held without permission and therefore police had stopped five cars after the meeting, three of which were detained along with the persons inside, but two cars took u-turn and escaped. Hardik Patel was in one of those two cars.
