German Chancellor Angela Merkel speaks on her India visit (video)

Speaking briefly to media persons at Rashtrapati Bhavan today morning, German Chancellor Angela Merkel who is on three-day visit to India said, “What I expect from this third inter governmental consultation is that first of all this is a consultation at government level that is to demonstrate that we cooperate indeed very closely. And on very broad spaces. We are cooperating in areas such as the economy, agriculture, we are cooperating in internal security matters, we are cooperating on development issues, on defense matters, and also on financial relations, and we also expect to be able from the part of Germany to lend the contribution toward the further economic buildup of the country.”
Chancellor Merkel who arrived on three-day visit late in the evening yesterday was given ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati bhavan where she was received by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
