Orders on Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana in Gujarat issued

The government of Gujarat through an official communication today conveyed that orders for implementation of the Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana are issued on 7 October. Following are the details regarding the Mukhyamantri Swavlamban Yojana shared by the government today:
– Benefit of the scheme will be available to only those who had 80 percentile(about 60% + marks) in 10th standard and 90 percentile (about 70%+ marks) in 12th standard.
– All primary government and granted school children across all classes and family income levels will get free uniform, books and scholarship benefits. All the students in standard 9-12 will also get free books without any consideration regarding income bar.
– Students who get 80% or more result in standard 10 through approved board including Gujarat board will get assistance for higher education in Diploma courses.
– For graduation level studies, 90% or above result would be necessary to get the benifits of assistance scheme.
– Family income in such case should be Rs 4.50 lakh or below. NRI seat students will be suitable to get benifit.
– For tuition assistance, 50% of total annual tuition fee or Rs 2 lakh whatever is less will be given every year for approved self finance courses of medical and dental. In engineering, technology, pharma, architecture, agriculture, ayurved, homeopathy, nursing, physiotherapy, para medical, veterinary courses, it would be 50% of total tuition fee of Rs 50,00 whatever less.
– If suitable beneficiary admitted to graduation, diploma courses outside his/her taluka but fails to get admission in govt run or govt granted hostel, then such students will be given Rs 1200 per month for 10 months period from the government. Additionally medical/dental graduation students will be given Rs 10,000 assistance for equipment/books per year while engineering/technology/pharma, architecture graduation students will be given Rs 5,000 assistance for books/equipment and for diploma courses, this assistance will be Rs 3,000.
– For higher education related assistance, students will need to choose any one govt assistance programme – either central govt or state govt programme. Amount of aid will be deposited directly in bank account of the student. Beneficiary student facing disciplinery action of serious nature for breach of institute’s rule or for other reason will be disqualified from assistance programme, and the ammount of assistance will be taken back with interest. Also legal actions will be taken. The students after getting admission will need to pass exam at least with 50% marks and ensure 75% presence every year, and then only the assistance amount for the next year will be renewed.
