She promised Rs 15,000 crore development works in next five years in Ahmedabad. She also promised to make Ahmedabad smart city and wi-fi city.
“In last five years, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation spent Rs 10,000 crore for development works. In next five years, we want to spend Rs 15,000 for development works in Ahmedabad city. Additionally there will be Smart City initiative which will also bring wifi for you. Narendrabhai has selected 100 cities to convert them as Smart City, of which 6 are in Gujarat. Global companies are selected to plan smart cities. As soon as these elections are completed, works will begin.”
“In next one year, Ahmedabad will have wi-fi in all its corners. One would be able to surf internet even on road and even on terrace. Internet will make videos available on computer and mobile. Our students will have hear live lectures and speeches to upgrade themselves.”
“In last one month, all those youths who applied for government’s new MYSY scheme, have already received the sum of Rs 2 lakh in case of medical education and Rs 50,000 or Rs 1,50,000 for engineering education.Money has been deposited in their bank accounts. We have fulfilled the promise given by us. Some people were saying that government would give just promise and will not deliver. But they should know that it was BJP’s promise and BJP keeps its promise. This is not Congress that gave promise of free power in Punjab, but failed to deliver.”
Anandiben said, “I am your sister, don’t tell me ‘Foi’. You people are like my sons, and I as mother expects you to caste your vote to add two or four more seats this time.”
Polling for six municipal corporations including Ahmedabad is going to be held on 22nd of November. All these civic bodies are ruled by BJP at present.
